FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Direct answers about the active USDT checkout, wallet model, confirmation status, refunds, and legal responsibility.
Is PreInc live?
PreInc is in founder early access. Access and supported flows are limited while the product, wallet operations, and regulatory model are still being validated.
Which currency does checkout support today?
USDT on Solana is the only currency the active checkout accepts. The API rejects checkout sessions created with any other currency.
Is USDC supported?
Not for checkout today. The early-access application captures USDC as a preferred-asset research signal only — it does not create a USDC checkout and is not an active payment option.
Does my customer need a Solana wallet?
Yes. The customer sends the exact USDT amount on Solana to the invoice wallet address shown on the checkout page.
Who holds the funds?
Each invoice gets its own Solana wallet that PreInc's server creates and manages. The wallet's private key is encrypted at rest and is never returned to the browser. An administrative script can decrypt an invoice wallet to sweep or refund its balance. PreInc does not describe this arrangement as non-custodial.
Is a payment automatically verified?
Only when it passes the implemented verifier: correct mint, exact recipient wallet, exact amount, minimum confirmation depth, and a unique transaction hash. A founder can also manually confirm a payment from the dashboard; that is a founder-authorized action, not an automatic verification. The production blockchain observer that would watch for payments unattended is disabled by default today.
How fast is confirmation?
It depends on Solana network confirmation depth and, while the automatic observer is disabled, on the founder checking and confirming manually. PreInc does not promise a fixed confirmation time.
How do refunds work?
PreInc does not provide automatic refunds. An administrator can run a sweep script to move a wallet's balance to a configured destination wallet, with a dry run by default and an explicit confirmation flag required to send funds. Refunds must be coordinated between the founder and the customer.
Do I need a company to use PreInc?
PreInc is designed for the period before company infrastructure exists. Whether and how you may trade before incorporation depends on your jurisdiction and circumstances. PreInc does not provide formation or legal advice, and using PreInc before incorporation is not automatically lawful everywhere.
Who is responsible for taxes and the underlying sale?
The founder remains responsible for the customer relationship, the product or service sold, refunds, recordkeeping, taxes, and other commercial or legal obligations.
Is a transaction record an invoice or tax receipt?
No. It is a factual summary of checkout and payment state. It does not by itself establish tax, accounting, or legal validity.
